The Indian Premier League’s 14th season, VIVO IPL 2021, was hanging unfinished when India was hit by the severe second wave of COVID-19 in May. It left several cricket enthusiasts heartbroken who followed the tournament diligently. And since then, all the cricket devotees and cricket bet sites have wondered when and if the IPL 2021 will come back. And this decision of resuming the cricket’s best domestic league by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came off as a relief and brought a wave of happiness to the fans across the world.
The cricket bet sites are now collectively gearing up for all the fixtures played within a short window between September and October. However, the BCCI on Saturday has shown the green flag for continuing the remaining IPL 2021 fixtures in the stadiums across the United Arab Emirates. The BCCI conducted a virtual Special General Meeting (SMG) on Saturday. The meeting was settled with the decision to continue with the remaining IPL 2021 matches in UAE, as India is expecting a monsoon in September. The BCCI has preferred moving the competition altogether to avoid any further disruptions in the competition.
The decision was unanimously agreed upon by every member that attended the special general meeting held virtually. As a result, many cricket bet sites have already started taking registrations for the remaining IPL matches as soon as the word got around that the IPL will be back in September and October. The remaining games will be completed within a short window as the ICC T20 cricket world cup also awaits us, and the notifications regarding the schedule of the same can come around anytime soon. Therefore, the players are expected to perform more consistently as the matches will be more rapid than before.
