The second phase of the IPL 2021 edition is all set to begin in UAE. All the remaining 31 matches will start from 19th September 2021 and end within 25 days. However, there can be significant changes in the team composition of all franchises as many international players may not get the required permission. This can severely affect the ranking of all the teams. And the BCCI has already made it a point to continue the series even if few players are missing.
Let’s look at the IPL prediction of team-wise positions at the end of the league.
8th- Kolkata Knight Riders
The franchise has performed relatively poorly in the first phase of the series, and the captaincy of Eoin Morgan did not yield positive results. Moreover, many international players such as Lockie Ferguson, Eoin Morgan, Tim Seifert, and Shakib Al Hasan may not play in the second phase.
7th- Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad were able to win only one match during the first phase of IPL 2021. The only reason this franchise is not predicted to come last is due to their excellent performance in UAE last year.
6th- Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals showed a mediocre performance in the first phase by winning three matches. Sanju Samson’s captaincy seemed promising, but he could not churn any effective result for the team. Moreover, the Royals finished in 8th position last year in UAE, meaning a further slide in position.
5th- Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings is termed as the most inconsistent franchise. However, the captainship of KL Rahul is predicted to put the team in a higher position than last year’s position of 6th place in the league.
4th- Royal Challengers Bangalore
In the first phase of IPL 2021, RCB showed a promising performance by winning five matches out of seven games. With such an excellent record, the team may still face difficulty in winning the league due to the unavailability of players.
3rd-Chennai Super Kings
The franchise performed badly last year in UAE. However, they bounced back with a bang and have won five matches till now. However, the team may not take the title as UAE is not their favorite place to play.
2nd- Mumbai Indian
The stalwarts of IPL may find themselves in the second spot this year as their performance was not exceptional in IPL 2021. After the first phase, they were positioned at fourth place in the IPL. However, UAE has been generous to the team, and they may end up in a higher position.
1st- Delhi Capitals
Under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, the franchise gave us one of the best performances this year. Delhi Capitals won six matches out of eight matches they played with ultimate grace. Moreover, Shreyas Iyer may take the team to the title with his return in the second half.
The second phase of IPL 2021 will be exciting for fans as the series is finally starting again. Moreover, people are likely to place IPL bets even before the start of the series with predictions about team positions.
