Assuming that Windies would field more or less the same squad that’s currently playing against Australia, FantasyBet has come up with some predictions upon thorough analysis. Read on.
T20 Series winner: This is a clash of two unpredictable teams with no clear favourite, as of now. If the 4th ranked T20 team, Pakistan performs well against depleted England, they’ll enter the series having their tails up. However, the Windies have the all-important home advantage and a barrage of T20 specialists who can win games single-handedly. Windies are likely to seal the series 3-2 provided they get their combination right.
Test series winner: West Indies doesn’t have the talent and inclination for tests. Though Pakistan’s test team is also in a rebuilding phase, it’s still better than the Windies. Given their unpredictable nature, the Windies can’t be ruled out, however. You never know when they will get their act together and give more accomplished oppositions a run for their money. All said and done, Pakistan is expected to win the two-test series 1-0.
Highest scorer: Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam, is the frontrunner for both, tests and T20Is. Despite his strike rate issues in short format, he is an accomplished batsman who can bat long and score consistently. If he gets in the groove, Fakar Zaman can also be a contender in T20Is. Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmeyer can also be considered.
Highest wicket-taker: There Are too many choices though, Pakistan speedster Hasan Ali can top the wicket-taker list. Besides being in fine form, he has the pace and bounce to rattle batsmen, especially in the longer format. Fabian Allen can also be considered.
