Kieron is a powerhouse name in domestic cricket circles. He made his ODI première in the 2007 world cup versus South Africa. In 2009 after a good performance in the 2009 champion’s league, he was selected by South Australia to represent them in the big bash.
The Mumbai Indians later picked him in a player auction that reached the highest bidding of 750,000 dollars. Pollard refused to sign a contract from the West Indian board to participate in freelance cricket. Despite the contract refusal, he was selected for ODIs and T201s, allowing him to participate in the IPL.
In 2010 Pollard made his première for Mumbai Indians on March 17, 2010, versus Delhi Daredevils.Even though he was off at the start of the matches, his comeback was immense as he scored 13 balls, 45 laced with five sixes and two runs. In the semi-finals, he crashed fast 33 off 13 balls with three sixes, accompanied by three wickets and one run out.
In 2011 and 2012, it was not the best for him. The only achievement was in 2012 where he hit a 33 ball 64 with 4s and four sixes. After a bad season, he started 2013 on a high knock of 57 off 38 balls with five 34sixes. Mumbai lost wickets, but in the 2nd innings, he picked one wicket.
An excellent catch from Ms. Dhoni helped Mumbai Indians clinch the victory. However, when Mumbai Played Royal Challengers Bangalore, he scored 16-ball-34. One of his best performances was versus Sunrisers Hyderabad with over 60 odd runs to chase in 4 overs. In the final versus Chennai, he fought back with 60 off 32 balls to take Mumbai to 148.
In 2015 he made 30 runs out of 48 balls with seven boundaries and five sixes versus Rajasthan. In addition, another 64 runs off just 34 balls, striking five sixes versus Chennai.2020 was the 11th year.
Pollard played for Mumbai Indians. However, this made Pollard the first person to play the franchise in 150 games. However, he played a significant role in them clinching the 5th IPL title.
Pollard has been in the international career scene long enough but has never played a Test game. However, he became the first cricket player to participate in 500 T201 games in March 2020. During a game in March of 2021, he hit 6 sixes in one over bowled by Akila Dananjaya. It made him the 3rd batsman to do that in international cricket after Herschel.
Pollard has also played in the Pakistan Super League. He was bought at 140,000 US dollars by Karachi Kings. In a tight match against Lahore Qalandars, he scored 45 runs off 20 balls. Later, he was named as the Man of the Match in that game. Peshawar Zalmi later picked him in the 2019 Pakistan Super League auction.
