2. Kyle Jamieson, RCB: INR 15 Crore
The New Zealand cricketer has performed tremendously well in international cricket. So, the IPL teams are very much impressed by his performance, making him the 2nd highest expensive player of 2021 IPL. The base price of Kyle Jamieson was 75 lakhs. DC, PK, and RCB battled to bag the player into their team. Finally, he ended up in RCB with a huge cost of 15 crore. 2021 IPL is the debut season for Kyle; however, he had played 38 T20I matches and taken 54 wickets in his T20 career.
3. Glenn Maxwell, RCB: INR 14.25 crore
The Australian all-rounder’s bidding started at a base price of 2 crore. CSK, KKR, and RR raised the bar for him. Ultimately, he landed in the RCB team at a majestic price of 14.25 crore. Over 13 years, Maxwell played 82 IPL matches for various teams, at a strike rate of 154.67 and he scored 1505 runs and took 19 wickets. Also, in the year 2014, he was titled the “Most Valuable Player”.
4. Jhye Richardson, Punjab Kings: INR 14 Crore
DC and RCB started the bidding of Jhye at a base price of 1.5 cr. Finally, PK bagged the 24-year-old Jhye for a huge price of 14 crore. Jhye is making his debut in 2021 IPL; nevertheless, he has many records in his name. In 62 T20Is, the Australian fast bowler has taken 78 wickets. In BBL 2020-21, he was the leading wicket-taker; in 17 matches, he had taken 29 wickets.
5. Krishnappa Gowtham, CSK: INR 9.25 Crore
KKR and SRH started bidding for the Indian all-rounder with a base price of 20 lakhs. In the end, CSK bagged him in for a massive cost of 9.25 crore. In the history of IPL, he is the most expensive uncapped player. The 32-year-old had played 24 matches, with a strike rate of 169.09. He has scored 186 runs and taken 13 wickets in his IPL career.
6. Riley Meredith, Punjab Kings: INR 8 Crore
With a base price of 40 lakh, Riley ended up in PK team for a cost of 8 crores. In Big Bash League (BBL), he performed very well by taking 16 wickets in just 13 matches.
7. Moeen Ali, CSK: INR 7 Crore
In 2020, Moeen Ali played just 3 matches for RCB and was then released. In 2021, CSK came into the bidding battle for Ali and bought him for a worthy price of 7 crores.
8. Shahrukh Khan, Punjab Kings: INR 5.25 Crore
DC and PK were battling for Khan and both franchises dug their pockets to pick Khan for their team. Ultimately, Khan was bought by PK for the price of 5.25 crore.
9. Tom Curran, Delhi Capitals: INR 5.25 Crore

10. Nathan Coulter-Nile, Mumbai Indians: INR 5 Crore
